 How do I view the web/ftp stats for my domain in CPanel?

*This article assumes you are already logged into CPanel*

 

In the 4th row, 3rd to the right you will see an icon labeled as Web/FTP stats. Click on it.

 

On this page there are several choices. These are:

 

Analog

Webalizer

Urchin Stats

Subdomain Stats

Latest Visitors

Bandwidth

Error Log

 

Analog provides a complete text based statistics page of all the users that have visited your site.

 

Webalizer is a graphics based stats software that shows the complete stats for website.

 

Urchin stats is another software that shows even more detailed graphic statistics for your site.

 

Subdomain stats shows all the detailed statistics for each subdomain.

 

Latest Visitors shows all the recent visitors to your site, which page(s) they went to and which URL they were referred from.

 

Bandwidth shows the bandwidth usage for your domain and all subdomains for that month.

 

Error Log shows a list of error pages people have received from your domain and the URL they received the error at.

 

How do I get the raw access logs for my domain in CPanel?

*This article assumes you are already logged into CPanel*

 

In the 4th row, 4th to the right you will see an icon labeled as Raw Access Logs. Click on it.

 

A download prompt will pop up and you may download all the raw access logs in gz.tar format. They may then be opened with any common text editor such as notepad once extracted.

How do I manage the options for raw logs in CPanel?

In the 4th row, 5th to the right you will see an icon labeled as Raw Log Manager. Click on it.

 

On this page you will see 2 check boxes with the following text across from them:

 

Archive Logs in your home directory at the end of each stats run [every 1 day(s)]

Remove the previous month's archived logs from your home directory at the end of each month

 

Check the box or boxes and once you have done so click on the button labeled as Save. This will take you to a new page telling you that the new settings have been saved. 

 

How do I view the error log in CPanel?

In the 5th row, 1st to the left you will see an icon labeled as Error log. Click on it.

 

On this page you will see the last 300 error messages received by users visiting your website. Using the error log can help you find and fix broken parts of your website.

How do I view the stats for subdomains in CPanel?

*This article assumes you are already logged into CPanel*

 

In the 5th row, 2nd to the right click on the icon labeled as Subdomain Stats.

 

On this page you will see 2 lists of your subdomains. One list will show the stats of each subdomain using Analog which is a very simple statistics software which shows an all text-based list of stats.

 

The second list is shown in webalizer which is a graphical statistics software that displays each subdomain's stats in a easy to read chart.
